JEMA’s Design Is Part Of Win-Win For St. Louis

Ranken Technical College has dedicated its Manufacturing Incubator/Training Center as the Robert W. Plaster Free Enterprise Center.  The mission of the Robert W. Plaster Foundation is to expand educational access and promote the virtues of the American free enterprise system through named capital projects.  In partnership with the City of St. Louis and local industries, Ranken’s microenterprise center not only provides students with technical education, it also helps participating industries receive low cost manufacturing services while directly participating in the training of future employees.  The program is a win-win for St. Louis.

JEMA’s award-winning design for this 29,000 sq. ft. hybrid educational facility includes state-of-the-art lab and makerspaces and a semi-transparent metal clad exterior.  The design has been honored by AIA St. Louis, Building St. Louis, and the IES Lighting Awards.
