JEMA’s Design for SCC Showcases Teaching and Learning; Inspires Future Students

What makes a student choose a particular college or university? Is it the curriculum? Is it the campus? Is it a class? Perhaps a glimpse of a teacher? What if it was all four…at once?

St. Charles Community College‘s new Regional Workforce Innovation Center allows a prospective student to see it all – the curriculum, the campus, a class and a teacher – as part of the journey through the building. JEMA’s design of the circulation through the building has been carefully crafted to offer vistas and glimpses into every class, shop, lab, conference and office. The new building, a literal “showcase” for the exposition of teaching and learning, seeks to move and inspire the future student.

The project, located in Wentzville, MO, is slated to begin construction 4th quarter 2023.
