Y|O Starts Construction
Construction on Y|O is just around the corner. Designed by JEMA, this exciting 33,000 sq. ft. mixed-use residential project at the corner of Morgan Ford and Wyoming combines the renovation of an existing traditional building constructed in 1902 and the new construction of a ground-up four-story building.
With full-height glass windows along the East, a playful brick facade, communal rooftop deck, and a balcony for every unit, JEMA’s plans achieve our design goal to create places that promote and enhance our social, economic, and environmental well-being.
Using the same material (brick) but in a colorful palette that helps the eye transition from old to new, JEMA’s design preserves the neighborhood scale and sense of history that comes with the existing building while bringing a modern design to a progressive neighborhood.
Developers Kyle Howerton, Rob Maltby, and Michael Anderson bring this development to the Tower Grove South neighborhood of St. Louis in follow-up to MOFO Urban Residences, JEMA’s three-story mixed-use design at 3172 Morgan Ford.
