YMCA to Operate St. Charles Rec Center

The City of St. Charles is partnering with the YMCA to operate the future St. Charles YMCA within the new St. Charles Rec Center and Senior Center, a JEMA project that will transform the historic BH Building, a former train passenger railcar manufacturing hub, into a vibrant community destination. Through the adaptive reuse of this landmark building, the project will provide expanded recreation, wellness, and gathering spaces while preserving its industrial character. We are excited to see this partnership bring the vision for the rec center one step closer to reality and look forward to the positive impact it will have on the St. Charles community.
