Trust The Process

JEMA’s design for the new St. Charles City Hall is a centerpiece of the City Centre Complex, a transformative project that reimagines the historic ACF District. Scheduled to begin construction in March 2025, the complex will integrate a variety of civic, cultural, and community spaces, including a Senior Center, Recreation Center, arts and culture spaces, event facilities, retail, and structured parking—all connected by a new Main Street.

The design process, shown in the GIF below, highlights the progression from initial massing studies to a detailed, photorealistic rendering. This development not only embraces the rich history of St. Charles but also acts as a catalyst for revitalizing the ACF District, creating a dynamic hub that connects the historic Main Street District with Frenchtown and establishes a unique riverfront destination.
