JEMA’s design for Westwind Hills delivers on the vision of owners Rob and Lauren Muckler, who sought to create a destination for weddings and events in the rolling hills of Pacific. The design is a fusion of two vernacular typologies – the sacred (the country church) and the utilitarian (the barn). The sacred and the utilitarian come together on the site to create an experience that is at once both pastoral and spiritual. The simplicity of the forms and material bring forth a sense of sereneness and tranquility.
Westwind Hills is an 18,000 sq. ft. venue featuring a ceremony “chapel,” reception area for 300, a two-story bridal suite, groom’s quarters, outdoor veranda, full service kitchen, and conference center.
