After going public with their IPO in June 2013, HD Supply Waterworks (HDSW) began to rapidly outgrow their offices. Not only did they need more space, but HDSW was also wanting to rejuvenate and change their corporate culture. They began a real estate search, purchased a 60,000 sq. ft. building in Maryland Heights, MO and hired JEMA to design their new corporate headquarters.
The existing building was constructed in 1980 and required a complete “gut” renovation. A key feature of the new headquarters was the creation of an in-house event space and showroom, where HDSW would host training sessions, learning seminars and corporate events. The showroom was designed to display all of HDSW’s partner’s products. Two state-of-the-art training rooms that serve fifty people each are also incorporated into the facility.
