Corporate Headquarters

JEMA’s design for a new corporate headquarters located in Clayton, MO is a reflection of the evolving culture of the company. Openness and transparency are its essential drivers, and the design is a physical manifestation of those values.

The perimeter offices walls are full height glass allowing for daylight to enter into the internal sections of the space as well as allowing for transparent views into the offices. The space is situated on one of the highest floors in Clayton so views to the exterior from each space is accomplished. A special viewshed towards the Gateway Arch is established as one enters the space. The special view is created by a purposeful subtraction (a notch) from the stone feature wall behind the reception desk.

A work cafe and lounge space are key features of the space allowing for staff and visitors to work in an alternative environment. The lobby is a multi-functional space that can be closed off with a 75′ long sliding glass wall, allowing for the lobby to become an event space for special gatherings.
