2008 Olive Collaboration District
The Collaboration District is a multiple part project that transforms a number of underutilized buildings and sites around St. Louis and transforms them into a network of various types of spaces for co-working, fabrication, dining, entertainment, and creativity. 2008 Olive is part of that network intended to house the district’s leasing office, co-working offices, and small event venue. It utilizes the vacant lot adjacent to the building as an open air creativity hub. The east facade of the building provides an opportunity for a colorful mural that harkens back to the old painted ads on the side of downtown St. Louis’ brick buildings. The pop of color is a fun backdrop for the outdoor area and point of interest for pedestrians and commuters passing along Olive Street.
