Local Sophomore Explores Architecture with JEMA Team
Cameron Carter, a sophomore from STEAM Academy High School of the Ferguson/Florissant School District, spent a week shadowing the team at JEMA, gaining an in-depth look into the field of architecture. Cameron’s journey into the profession began at a Career Exploration Camp at STLCC Flo Valley Campus, where he was inspired by a presentation given by John Mueller.
Intrigued by architecture, Cameron chose to further explore the field by shadowing JEMA’s team. His week was filled with hands-on experiences including site visits, taking field measurements for an active project, and sitting with JEMAtes to learn more about their roles.
Cameron’s enthusiasm for the profession was evident as he reflected on his experience, stating, “I would love to be an architect.” JEMA is grateful for Cameron’s curiosity and dedication, and we look forward to watching his journey towards becoming an architect.
