Learning on Display

As students head back to school, the classroom is no longer the only place where learning happens. Across the education landscape, JEMA is designing facilities to make hands-on learning more visible, giving students opportunities to work with the tools, technology, and environments they will encounter in their future careers. This approach strengthens the connections between education and industry.

JEMA’s designs for the St. Louis Community College Advanced Manufacturing Center, St. Charles Community College Regional Workforce Innovation Center, Ranken Technical College, and LaunchCode reflect this approach. The facilities integrate classrooms, labs, maker-spaces, training spaces and workshops to create an active learning experience centered around workforce development. From advanced manufacturing and robotics to emerging technologies and traditional technical trades, students are learning in a different way that is more sustainable and connected to real industry.
