JEMA’s Design Brings Major Transformation To New Kinetic Park
The St. Louis Post Dispatch as well as KSDK’s 5 On Your Side and Fox 2 Now announced last evening that the newly named Kinetic Park in Dardenne Prairie is about to undergo a major transformation. On Monday night, the St. Charles County Council approved the park’s name change from Youth Activity Park to Kinetic Park, setting in motion the upcoming construction and new park additions. The park is home to the largest pump track in the United States and the largest outdoor skate park in Missouri.
JEMA‘s design of the new park pavilion acts as a gateway into the park, but is also is a cafe, an office, and a sports and fitness activity center. The new 8,000 sq. ft. structure is part of a $7 million project and serves as a portal into the park as well as a re-interpretation of the traditional 18th and 19th Century park pavilion.
