JEMA’s Award-Winning Fire Station Opens in Valley Park, MO

The City of Valley Park, MO has opened the doors on its new Fire Station No. 2.  This 22,000 sq. ft. Category IV mission-critical facility also serves as Valley Park Fire Protection District‘s administrative offices.  The AIA St. Louis awarded JEMA the Merit in Architecture Award for its design of this two-story state-of-the-art fire station, which integrated the fire district’s program into the sloping site.

The AIA St. Louis Design Awards program recognizes outstanding achievements in all areas of design, construction and craftmanship.  Valley Park Fire Station No. 2 is JEMA’s fifth AIA St. Louis award win.  Previous wins include Rockwell Beer Company, Ranken’s Robert W. Plaster Free Enterprise Center, JEMA’s HQ, and the Glendale Fire Station – the first fire station in St. Louis history to receive an AIA award.
