How Did We Do? A Follow Up

JEMA’s design for the West End Clinic, a 2 story, 20,000 sq. ft. addition completed in 2019, marked the first new commercial building in St. Louis’ Walnut Park East neighborhood in 51 years. Serving as a recovery center and clinic, the facility has become a vital resource for the community, expanding its reach from 300 patients per year to nearly 1,000. As part of our ongoing educational process, we recently visited the clinic and spoke with Managing Director Wardell Carter. He shared how the clinic’s increased functionality, warm interiors and expanded size are helping rehabilitate individuals through mental health support, addiction recovery, and physical rehabilitation.
