Creating a 21st Century Police Station

Designing a 21st-century police station begins with understanding the fine balance between creating an open, inviting space while also protecting officers, staff, and the secure spaces within the facility. Ballwin’s new Police Station is a 35,000 sq. ft., 3-story Mission Critical facility designed as a Category IV structure. Each area, administration, patrol, investigation, evidence, processing, detention, clerk, fitness, and community is specifically designed to meet not only the unique requirements of the Ballwin force, but also CALEA. The police station also offers a community-friendly lobby and gathering space for the public where neighborhood meetings can occur.
