Architecture as Teacher
Urban Sprouts Early Childhood Center’s new expansion is nearly complete. The new addition contains an art studio, classrooms, and an internal ramping playscape. A colored glass bridge connects the existing center to the latest addition. As is the tradition of Reggio Emilia, each space (bridge, ramp, corridor, corner, nook, and cubby) has a two-fold function acting as both a means of circulation and utility, but also a place for discovery, play, and learning.
