Joplin American Legion and Veteran’s Memorial Park

JEMA, in conjunction with DG2, recently competed for the City of Joplin’s new Veterans Memorial Park and American Legion Hall.

The new park and hall will replace the existing Memorial Hall and become a new destination for the community of Joplin.

JEMA’s idea is to preserve the existing stone portico of Memorial Hall and build a new transparent glass volume behind it to house the American Legion.

A new park, designed by DG2, is created as a place for gathering, reflection and honoring the veterans of the US military.
