Preserving Our Past & Our Future
JEMA celebrates Earth Day by highlighting our very own office: an adaptive reuse of a residential duplex built in 1860. The only remaining residential building in all of Mid-Town, JEMA’s office was built before America’s civil war started, Napoleon was still in power in France and the Pony Express had just begun. Choosing to preserve, restore and renovate a building is one of the most impactful and environmentally friendly of all sustainable strategies. Recognizing the beauty of history and revitalizing the past is an essential way of making a greener future.
