Ballwin Police Station Design Approved

JEMA’s design for the City of Ballwin Police Department‘s new 36,500 sq. ft. state-of-the-art building has been approved.  Deploying our design philosophy to honor the singularity of each project, JEMA is creating a new facility that will serve the department and the community for years to come.

The material palette is a balance of organic and industrial elements that symbolize the unity between the Ballwin Police Department and the community it serves. The stone is symbolic of stability and strength. The visual openness of the glass lobby volume provides a sense of transparency and communication. Wood elements offer an air of warmth and welcome to the community. The design takes advantage of the building’s solar orientation to the North to flood various spaces with natural light.

Features of the three-story facility include offices, evidence storage, dispatch, intake, booking, detention, meeting rooms, training rooms, fitness center and break area, K9 facilities as well as secure staff parking.
