St. Charles Recreation and Senior Center Construction Progresses

Construction is underway on St. Charles’ new Recreation and Senior Center, bringing JEMA’s design for the historic American Car and Foundry district closer to reality. The 53,000-square-foot facility will transform an existing historic building into a destination for recreation, wellness, and community connection, with fitness areas, basketball and pickleball courts, an elevated running track, children’s play areas, and a café. The upper floor is solely dedicated to the Senior Center, which will include dining, activity rooms, a lounge, and a game room. The Recreation and Senior Center are connected to the new City Hall via an adjacent pocket park, creating a new hub for community activity in the heart of St. Charles.
