STLCC Florissant Valley Campus Student Center

The Student Center at St. Louis Community College’s Florissant Valley Campus reimagines a 1969-era facility into a modern, student-focused hub that centralizes essential campus services and enhances the overall student experience. Through a comprehensive renovation of approximately 60,000 square feet across a two-story structure, the project transforms an outdated building into a vibrant destination for connection, support, and daily campus life.

At the heart of the design is the consolidation of key student services—including advising, financial aid, enrollment, and career support—into a unified and highly accessible Student Enrollment Center. This strategic integration simplifies navigation and improves convenience, creating a seamless experience for students as they move through critical academic and administrative processes.

The program is organized to support both productivity and community. Updated computer labs, a dedicated testing center, and administrative offices provide essential academic resources, while student dining areas, a servery, and inviting study lounges create spaces for gathering, collaboration, and informal engagement. Dedicated areas for student organizations, including the Student Government Association, further reinforce the building’s role as a center for campus life.

Thoughtful planning emphasizes openness, flexibility, and connectivity throughout the facility. Spaces are designed to encourage interaction while accommodating a variety of uses, fostering an environment that supports both focused work and social exchange. The renovation also aligns with broader campus improvements, complementing adjacent projects and contributing to a cohesive, forward-looking vision for the Florissant Valley Campus.

Upon completion, the STLCC Student Center will serve as a dynamic and inclusive hub—one that not only supports student success through improved access to resources, but also strengthens community and enriches the day-to-day campus experience.
