The City of Glendale’s new Fire Station is a Category IV structure that meets and exceeds all the requirements for a 21st Century fire station.

But it doesn’t stop there.

JEMA’s design is a game-changer for civil and municipal buildings. Instead of creating the all too common historicist monument, we created a modern building that blends seamlessly into its context. The design invites the community to the building. A series of tiered stone landscape walls cascade down from the fire station to the new communal plaza. The new station has become a community destination.
