Everyone loves a sunny day, but for the right building, the night can transform a structure into something entirely different. A building comes alive in a new way at night.

Ranken Technical College’s new Free Enterprise Center is specifically designed to come alive at night. Light, color, texture and form each take on different characteristics in the absence of sunlight. The new building’s entry feature, a carved out corner of the building diagonally clad in perforated metal panels, becomes an urban lantern as the sun goes down.
