OWENSVILLE, MO GETS A NEW LIBRARY

Francis Owen would certainly be smiling right now. One of the town’s founders and its namesake, Francis C W Owen, was from all historic accounts, a man with a sharp wit, a sense of humor (he won the right to name the new town after beating his partner in horseshoes!) and a strong vision for the future.

Fast forward 171 years and Owensville is still a small town, but it is transforming. The new Scenic Regional branch library opens today and is certain to make a lasting impact on the town and its community.

JEMA is the architect-of-record and interior designer of the library. SDA, out of Springfield, MO, is the design architect.
