Kirsten Marklin Is Making Her Mark

Since joining the team at JEMA earlier this year, Kirsten Marklin has already made a significant impact on the firm, expanding the breadth, depth, and dimension of our interior design practice in exciting ways. Kirsten earned a BFA in interior design from Maryville University and has her NCIDQ and LEED Green Associate certifications.

Kirsten has a background and strong interest in environmental psychology and describes her approach to interior design as “people first.” She initially became connected to JEMA through a shared interest in supporting Mission St. Louis, a local not-for-profit that operates out of north St. Louis. Kirsten was attracted to JEMA because of our commitment to community engagement and mission-driven organizations.

Kirsten also volunteers with Girls on the Run and the Ferguson Youth Initiative.

She is currently leading the design effort on a number of key projects at JEMA, including People’s National Bank, MiTek, West End Clinic, MOFO Residences, and the GL Group’s new HQ.

Prior to joining JEMA, Kirsten worked at HOK for nearly 7 years. She currently teaches at Maryville University in their accredited interior design program. Her expertise and fresh perspective make her an exciting addition to the JEMA team.
