Glendale Design Advances

The design for the City of Glendale’s new municipal complex moved forward this week with JEMA presenting the latest design to the city council and to the community.

JEMA’s design is a modern interpretation of Glendale’s historical firehouse constructed in 1915. The form, scale and material of the old firehouse are incorporated into the new fire station design.

The project involves the renovation and transformation of the city’s existing facility and the construction of a new fire station. The existing building will be transformed into a new City Hall and Police Headquarters. A new Fire Station will be constructed on the land just south the existing building.
