STRAUB’S CWE STARTS CONSTRUCTION

Construction for Straub’s expansion and renovation in the Central West End is beginning. The 10,000 sq. ft. store is a St. Louis and Central West End landmark. JEMA’s new design creates a more progressive and modern brand for Straub’s. The North, West, and South elevations of the building are modified with a balanced material palette of copper, glass, and limestone. The new identity symbolizes the store’s rich heritage while creating a more user-friendly experience and visually dynamic exterior.

Straub’s opened their first store in Webster Groves in 1901, and opened the CWE location in 1948. How many companies are tried and true St. Louis for over 110 years with the same family (4th generation) running the business? Straub’s is the St. Louis grocer and a treasure. We are proud to be a part of this sustainable and local project.
