Escape the Room STL Opens

JEMA is happy to announce the opening of Escape the Room St. Louis. St. Louis now joins New York, Chicago, San Francisco, London, Madrid and Toronto as “escape” cities. Escape The Room has ten locations and is growing into other markets. Our project is featured in the St. Louis Post Dispatch, “Escape the Room challenges players to get out before time is up.”

Working with Escape The Room is like creating a life-size version of the old board game Clue. It is unusual for architects to purposefully make it difficult and confusing for people to navigate within a building. It goes against our instincts! But creating trap doors and secret passageways was a joyful challenge and we are happy to see St. Louis get in on the fun.
