JEMA's design was focused on aligning HM Capital's space and aesthetics with their evolving and changing client demographic. As client's wealth migrates from Baby Boomers to Gen X and now to Millennials, a new and fresh look was necessary.
The current Maplewood Fire Station is embedded within the city’s City Hall and Police Station municipal complex located along Manchester Road. The decades-old station is antiquated and no longer meets the needs of a modern fire-fighting force.
The new 20,500 sq. ft. facility is located on a prominent corner site at the intersection of Manchester Road and Bredell Avenue.
In 2009 the citizens of Clayton, MO authorized the funding for the school district’s first new ground-up middle school since 1942. The project was daunting and complex, and required a design that would respect the surrounding historic context, allow the existing middle school to remain operational during the three-year construction period and deliver the full program desired by the school district on a site that is only 4.25 acres.
