Fire Station No. 1 in Ferguson, MO is a 24-hour Mission Critical facility. The station features a drive-through apparatus bay, 3 story training tower, community center and training room, fitness center, day room, kitchen, and individual shift bunk room suites.
For the first time in over thirty years, the residents of the Northeast Ambulance and Fire Protection District (NEAFD) voted to authorize the funds for a new fire station headquarters. NEAFD, which serves seventeen municipalities in St. Louis County including the University of Missouri St. Louis, is one of the busiest districts in all of St. Louis County.
The current Maplewood Fire Station is embedded within the city’s City Hall and Police Station municipal complex located along Manchester Road. The decades-old station is antiquated and no longer meets the needs of a modern fire-fighting force.
The new 20,500 sq. ft. facility is located on a prominent corner site at the intersection of Manchester Road and Bredell Avenue.
